This topic describes all available screen capture modes for your recording.
It contains the following sections:
ScreenMix - Screen Recorder by Mixilab provides three different capture modes for recording.
Screen
The full-screen capture mode is set by default in “Screen Recorder by Animotica”.
If you have more than one display and you want to select which of them will be recorded,
follow the next steps:
- Click on the Capture mode icon on the main app panel;
- Select screen(s) (selected has a green border);
- Now the app is ready for the recording.
Pay attention; at the bottom of the Capture mode window, you can see the output capture size of your file.

Custom area
If you need to record some part of the screen(s), in this case, use Custom area mode:
- Click on the Capture mode icon on the main app panel;
- Select the Custom area tab;
- Define the borders which you need ;
- Click Start recording video to begin recording right away;
- Click Rechoose to define another area;
- Click Cancel or Esc to exit;
- Click Ok, so the app remembers a defined area
Use the grips or change the value in the text boxes to fit your dimensions.

Window
If you need to record only a window of the app, select “Window” capture mode:
- Click on the Capture mode icon on the main app panel ;
- Select the Window mode;
- Click on the needed app window to select it (the selected window will have a green border);
- Click Start recording video to begin recording right away;
- Click Rechoose to define another window;
- Click Cancel or Esc to exit;
- Click Ok so the app remembers a defined window.
