What is the purpose of this guide? Fade-in/fade-out animation is a popular effect that many video editors use to enhance their videos. However, Animotica does not have a built-in feature to enable this effect with just one click. But don't worry—you can still achieve this effect by following this guide and using a bit of creative thinking.
The Step-by-Step Guide for Adding the Fade-In/Fade-Out Effect
- Start by creating a new project.
- Pick the clips you want to edit.
- Select the first clip and click on the + (plus) button.
- Add a color clip.
- Set the duration of the clip for 1 second (or for however long you want the effect to last).
- Add an Opacity Transition between the first clip and the color clip. The transition duration should be set to 1 second.
- Congratulations! You have just added your first fade-in/fade-out effect!
- Repeat steps 3 to 6 for as many clips as you need.
Pro tip: Click the + button to add a white color clip. Set the duration for 3 seconds. Add an Opacity Transition with a transition duration of 2 seconds between the clips.
