How to Fix the No Preview While Editing Issue in Animotica

Frustrated because you can't preview your Animotica project timeline? Seeing a blank screen rather than your edited video clips? This issue is often caused by incompatible video formats.

The good news is that it's easily fixed! Follow these steps:

Convert Media Files

Before adding clips to your project, run them through the "Prepare Videos for Animotica" tool. This will convert them into formats fully supported by Animotica for smooth playback and preview.

Turn off the Hardware Acceleration

1. Click on the hamburger icon;
   
2. Go to Animotica's settings menu;
   
3. Click on the Performance tab;
   
4. Turn off the "Playback hardware acceleration for playback" option.
   

Disabling hardware acceleration forces Animotica to use software decoding for video files. This resolves most incompatible format issues. In order to apply the settings, you will need to reload the application.
