    Might be worth using Handbrake to transcode it. It's free, not a video editor at all not a competitor to Animotica but can ingest most files and output to a format that animotica can use

    Curious, animotica has become really good at importing various videos formats. I think it has been updated since you posted and this community seems pretty new. Are you still using the free version...
