There is a time to cast stones away and there is time to gather them.
There is a time to burst out with joy, and there is a time when it’s best to remain silent.
Imagine the dramatic effect of your video going mute for a couple of seconds straight after a particularly emotional moment. What will your viewers feel if given the option to reflect on what you have shown?
Exactly!
Or maybe drama isn’t your cup of tea. Maybe you just want to tune down the song playing in the background to avoid yet another copyright claim from YouTube’s broken AF algorithms.
Or you simply wish to tune things up to sound more natural and appealing.
Well, here’s how you do all three!
The step-by-step guide for muting videos in Animotica
-
Click on the video clip you’d like to edit.
-
Find the Volume button in the settings tab and click on it.
-
Increase or reduce the volume level from there. Setting everything to zero will mute the video clip.
Pro tip: If you are editing a video and just want it to be muted, for the time being, click on the button with the sound icon below the section with the video preview. This way you won’t have to listen to the same score every time when you make a change or slap on a sticker. You are welcome!
