What’s this guide for?
The fade-in/fade-out animation is every video editor’s trump card. Few effects look as good as ninjaing your way into the shadows.
Alas, to our dismay, Animotica doesn’t have a separate feature for enabling fade-in/fade out in one click. That doesn’t mean you can’t do it though. All it takes is this guide and a tiny pinch of creative thinking.
The step-by-step guide for adding the fade-in/fade-out effect
-
Start with creating a new project.
-
Then pick the clips you’d like to edit.
-
Select the first one and click on the + (plus) button.
-
From there proceed to add a color clip.
-
Set the duration of the clip for 1 second (or for however long you want the effect to last)
-
Add Opacity Transition between the first clip and the clip holding your color. The transition duration must last for 1 second.
-
Boom, you’ve just added your first fade-in/fade-out effect!
-
Rinse and repeat for as many times as you need it.
Pro tip: Click the + button to add a white color clip. Set the Duration for 3 seconds. Add the Opacity Transition with the Transition duration of 2s between the clips.
